Adopt a cat
If you are interested in homing a cat or kitten from us please email us to arrange a home visit. We will visit you at home and find out what your specific requirements are and how we can best suit your needs.
If you have looked at the photos of cats that are currently up for adoption, please be aware that they may have been homed before we visit you. We will keep this section as up to date as possible so as to avoid disappointment. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ALWAYS HAVE A LIST OF CATS AWAITING NEW HOMES BUT CURRENTLY NOT IN CARE.
We add initials to the names of the cats for our reference but as a guide, the ones with tree names in brackets after their names are currently in care,
the ones with TCI means to come into care at a future date and DH means a direct homing from their current homes. This is done to cause less disruption for the cats and may enable them to be rehomed quicker rather than waiting until in our care which can sometimes be several days/weeks until they arrive with us. Hope this helps when you are looking to rehome a new cat/kitten. Please don't enquire about the TCI cats as we will not have any information until they are in our care and have been assessed.
The DH (Direct homing) cats will be homed directly from the current owner so we take no responsibility for the outcome of these homings. CP are not responsible for the vaccination or veterinary treatment for these direct homed cats. All our cats/kittens that come into our care are fully vaccinated and identichipped before being re-homed to their new owners. Unless a kitten, all our feline friends will be either neutered or speyed too.
Cats Protection ask adopters for a fee of £50 when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat!
A receipt will be given for all donations received. Thank-you for your interest.
